Heart of Essex Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a worldwide organization of female singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance.  We strive to be the best we can by competing each spring in the Region 2 competition in Michigan.

Our musical art form is known as "a cappella", four part harmony, barbershop style.  Sweet Adelines need no musical accompaniment.  Heart of Essex Chorus is more than 35 ladies strong, who come from all walks of life, being mothers, nurses, retirees, sales clerks, professionals, and more.  

Every Wednesday evening at 7 PM we are the Heart of Essex Chorus having a great time preparing for competitions and performances. 

Over the past 25 years we have sang and entertained for hundreds of organizations throughout Essex County.  We have been in local parades and won first prize for our float!  The Heart of Essex Chorus continues to be active in the community performing at many functions.
